IRATA TRAINING COURSES

IRATA LEVEL 1

A level 1 rope access technician shall be capable of performing a limited range of rope access tasks required by his or her employers, under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician.

IRATA LEVEL 2

This is an experienced rope access Technician who is able to perform more complex tasks under the supervision of a Level 3 rope access safety supervisor.

IRATA LEVEL 3

This is an experienced rope access Technician who is responsible for understanding and implementing the rope access procedures, method statements and associated risk assessments.

IRATA REVALIDATION

IRATA International certificates shall be renewed within three years of the date of assessment.

If revalidation training and successful assessment are completed in the six-month period prior to the expiry of a current certificate, a new certificate shall be issued with an expiry date three years from the date of expiry of the previous certificate.

SPRAT TRAINING COURSES

SPRAT LEVEL 1

A level 1 SPRAT technician is an individual who performs rope access work.  A Level I Technician may only work under the direct, on-site supervision of a Rope Access Lead Technician or Supervisor

A level 2 SPRAT technician is an individual who is responsible for physically conducting rope access operations and/or safety evaluations of rope access operations, including maintenance of associated access equipment and performs all Rope Access Lead Technician duties as assigned in the employer’s rope access work program

A level 3 SPRAT technician is an individual who is responsible for the overall rope access work site and performs all Rope Access Supervisor duties as assigned in the employer’s rope access work program.
