in an ESI Environment
This comprehensive course equips individuals with the essential skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies, particularly in the electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. Participants will learn to recognise and assess emergencies, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and administer first aid response in accordance with workplace policies, industry regulations, and Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
Key learning outcomes include:
✅ Performing CPR, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
✅ Responding to cardiac arrest emergencies and assessing casualties who are unconscious or not breathing normally
✅ Managing first aid incidents specific to ESI environments, including basic life support measures
✅ Minimising interruptions to compressions and ensuring efficient first-aid handover to emergency services
