The Ultra D is similar in size to the Ultra O but with even greater strength due to the back configuration. The pronounced D-shape forces the loading along the major axis of the carabiner to maximise strength. Perfect for use at the end of lanyards, and in fact for most other working at height applications.
D-shaped carabiner bodies are designed to force the loads closer to the spine of the carabiner (the strongest orientation), therefore maximising strength. These are probably the most basic of all carabiners in terms of shape, but this makes them a perfect choice in applications where strength and simplicity are paramount.
SCREW-GATE
Non auto-locking gate which requires two actions to open, and is easy to use with one hand. Screw-gates are suitable in systems where anchor points can be easily monitored and are unlikely to be affected by running ropes.
LOCKSAFE
An auto-locking gate requiring three separate actions to open. Locksafe gates give extra security in complex rigging systems such as those featuring running ropes or remote anchor points.
